As some of you may or may not know I have a bit of a thing for poetry
I did my 2nd year Creative
Writing module on poetry and wrote quite a bit of my own, some of
which you can view on my Deviant Art.
Any way, the reason I'm telling you about my love of poetry is that
today I watched the film 'A Haunting In Conneticut' which has a
scene where a character recites a poem which has since become my new
favourite poem
The poem is called 'Two Dead Boys' and there are a few versions of the poem online with different wording, but my favourite is the short version said to be by poet Melvin Hergenroten. It goes as follows:
One
bright morning
In the middle of the night.
Two dead boys
Got up to fight.
Back to back
They faced eachother,
Pulled their knives
And shot each other.
A deaf policeman
Heard the noise,
And came and killed
The two dead boys.
In the middle of the night.
Two dead boys
Got up to fight.
Back to back
They faced eachother,
Pulled their knives
And shot each other.
A deaf policeman
Heard the noise,
And came and killed
The two dead boys.
I think I might write
some of my own verses based on the same idea. Maybe not about dead boys
though
On a side
note, I quite liked the film too - the main charcter was hot and
the film wasn't particularly gory or scary which is good 'cause I
dont deal too well with either!
Must dash
now, I'm just writing this as a break from plastering my walls
with pictures of you know who!
Love Love x x x
Love Love x x x
He's not hot O_O
